This is a very thoughtful piece on how American is moving into age of anti-intellectualism where thoughtfulness and rationalism are taking a back seat to ignorant populist rants.
I sadly believe this is also happening in New Zealand. People who are knowledgeable (or at least have thought about subjects in depth) are shouted down by people with ideologies to pedal and egos to fluff.
